The volume of foreign trade reached the value of 18.3bn Euro in 2024
When it comes to foreign trade, the State Chancellery is the "one-stop shop" for the enterprises of the federal state. The "Foreign Trade and Trade Fairs" Department in the State Chancellery coordinates the foreign activities of the state's specialised agencies, among others in the case of business delegation trips abroad that have political support.
The volume of foreign trade in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern reached the value of €18.3bn in 2024. The four most important foreign trade partners in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern were the USA (€1.61bn), Poland (€1.59bn), the Netherlands (€1.46bn) and Denmark (1.26bn).
The State Chancellery uses a variety of instruments to help companies open up new markets and to ensure that the volume of foreign trade will increase again after its highest value of €20.0bn in 2022.
