Since the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern was founded, the Baltic Sea has been at the heart of its international activities. As a link between East and West and as a gateway to the north, the aim is to contribute to the further development of the economy and culture in the Baltic Sea region. In the meantime, a network has been developed here, which covers all levels and areas of cooperation and, besides the regional government, embraces a large number of associations and institutions.
