On 15th November 2021, Minister-President Manuela Schwesig appointed Patrick Dahlemann as Parliamentary State Secretary and transferred to him the Office of Head of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Chancellery.
Tasks
The Head of the State Chancellery performs the official duties of the State Chancellery. He deputizes for the Minister-President with regard to her administrative tasks. The State Chancellery coordinates the work of the ministries, whereby the ministers manage their own business independently and on their own responsibility.
The Head of the State Chancellery is responsible for preparing the weekly sessions of the Cabinet and the State Secretaries (departmental heads of the ministries). He represents the federal state at the meetings of heads of state and senate offices of the federal states.
