Born on 22nd March 1969 in Wismar, married, one child
1975 to 1987: Geschwister Scholl schools in Wismar: qualification for university entrance (Abitur)
1987 to 1994: Degree at Leipzig College of Education and Karl Marx University Leipzig, qualification as a grammar school teacher, First State Examination
1994 to 1996: Trainee teacher at the Gerhart Hauptmann Grammar School Wismar, subsequently Second State Examination
Since 1996: Teacher at various schools in the Northwest Mecklenburg area and Head of Klütz Regional School (on leave from 2011)
Since 2019: Head of Proseken Regional School with Primary School (on leave)
2011 to 2021: Member of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Parliament, 2011 to 2016: deputy chair of the DIE LINKE. parliamentary group, 2016 to 2021: chair of the parliamentary group and speaker for education policy
Since 15th November 2021: Minister of Education and Daycare Facilities for Children Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and deputy Minister President

Since 2004: Community representative in the municipality of Gägelow, chair of the culture and social committee, member of the central committee and local committee
